I am extremely excited about a new collection of artworks currently underway.

It’s a new refresh for me, having now had a few years to regroup and scale things back while taking on commissions.  While I am grateful to the time I spent in my fabrication business, Jalmer Wrought Iron, and of course my customers who supported me, it is time for new beginnings.  It is time to create again!

The boab tree, which actually was a recent commission for a client, has really inspired me to explore different natural forms to my signature eucalyptus range.  I am producing more of my signature entranceway tables, wallhangings and sculptural pieces that add something unique to any home.

What I am working on…

I will be creating more fountains, as I love to combine the movement and magic of water to transform a natural scene.  As well as beautiful birdbaths for smaller patios or gardens.

You will notice that many of my pieces seem to be telling a story.  This fountain was commissioned to reflect a love of visiting Kakadu and his annual barramundi fishing expeditions to northern WA with his mates.  He has this large fountain in his front yard to spark memories of great times had, and those yet to be experienced.

Another client got in touch to let me know of the joy she feels each day from her front door to see ‘her’ gorgeous blue wren on a eucalyptus branch.  When she welcomes her visitors, she also gets a thrill from their reactions to her beautiful feature door.

The fact my art brings such an incredible aspect to people’s lives means the world to me.  I have even had clients ask me to help transfer doors, gates and panels to their next homes as they couldn’t bear to leave them behind. 

The next stage of the journey

It has now been almost two decades since beginning this style of works, but really my whole life has been about art.

It has been fantastic to reconnect with many of my previous art clients who tell me how much they enjoy their pieces and are waiting to see what’s coming next.
